The case column and its contents

In the User Lexicon menu, you can store all nouns, abbreviations, units of measurement and misspellings that are not contained in the software's system dictionary. These can be artificial words, for example. By storing these words, you ensure that they are analyzed correctly during subsequent processing in Congree.

To enable correct analysis, the case of each entry must be specified. This is done in the case column of the respective submenus.+

The case column

The case column of an entry can display the following symbols:

  • Blue minus: The table is unprocessed and is not taken into account during compilation.

  • Check mark: The table has been (edited and) saved. The entries are taken into account during compilation.

  • Red minus = Invalid data is present (due to incorrect import or other legacy problems).

Important:

The case column remains empty if no gender has been specified for the entry. Because: The table with the dependencies between certain case forms can only be generated depending on the gender.

Specifying the gender

If the case column of an entry is empty, the gender must be specified before the case can be specified.
