Style Guide – Notifications

In the Notifications menu of the Style Guide Manager, you can create notification text configurations you can assign to a style guide.

Overview of the Notifications menu

Configuring the area for managing user notification text configurations

1. Language drop-down list: Select the language of the notification texts you want to configure.
2. Sublanguage drop-down list: Select the sublanguage of the notification texts you want to configure.
3. Configuration drop-down list: If you have already created one or more notification text configurations, you can select a notification text configuration here.
4. Create configuration button: Create a new notification text configuration.
5. Clone configuration button: Clone the selected notification text configuration. The button is only enabled when a notification text configuration is selected under Configuration.
6. Edit configuration button: Change the name of the selected notification text configuration. The button is only enabled when a notification text configuration is selected under Configuration.
7. Delete configuration button: Delete the selected notification text configuration. The button is only enabled when a notification text configuration is selected under Configuration
8. Export configurations button: Export a notification text configuration as an XML file with the .settings file format.
9. Import configuration button: Import a notification text configuration as an XML file with the .settings file format.

An overview of all available notifications

Once you have created or selected a notification text, the following view will open up:

1. Search panel
2. Refresh button: Show the current status of your notification text configuration.
3. Table
   1. Category column: Information about the notification category for each notification
   2. Code column: The rule ID of a notification
   3. Keyword column: Customize the keyword of a notification by editing or replacing the standard text. For notification descriptions: see Language Check Panel, c) Notification: Information
   4. Instruction column: Customize the instruction of a notification by editing or replacing the standard text. For notification descriptions: see Language Check Panel, c) Notification: Information
   5. Explanation column: Customize the explanation of a notification by editing or replacing the standard text. For notification descriptions: see Language Check Panel, c) Notification: Information
   6. Example column: Open a window for modifying the example notification, by clicking .
