User Lexicon Entries in Compounds
In the Part of compound column in the tables for the different user lexicon categories, you specify whether the word form in question can form compound words with other words. Note: This is only for compounds with words Congree is aware of based on the system lexicon.
PI -Datei
ZertiFAKT-Auswertung
Entries that can be part of compounds have a checkbox in the Part of compound column. When forming compounds, the following restrictions apply to these entries:
- User lexicon entries defined as part of a compound can only be the first part of the compound. The part after this in a compound must be known on the basis of the system lexicon. This is why the Congree grammar checker will complain about "Result-PI", since "PI" is not in the system lexicon. However, an entry in a user lexicon may just as well be the middle part of a compound. Likewise, two (or more) user lexicon entries can be used for the first parts of a compound:
Ergebnis-PI
Haupt-PI-Datei
Congree-PI-Markierung
- The only permissible joining element is the hyphen, both to the left and right of the word form. So, a compound spelling such as "ZertiFAKTAuswertung" won't be recognized as a compound by Congree and will then be flagged by the Congree spellchecker.
- You can also define word combinations such as "Congree Authoring Server" as part of a compound in the user lexicon. However, the parts of the compound must then be written with an hyphen between them:
Congree-Authoring-Server-User
Congree Authoring Server-User
There is insufficient analysis for the spelling "Congree Authoring Server-User". In this case, any indication of errors depends on whether the components of the word combination are themselves recognized by Congree via the user lexicon or the system lexicon.
- The case-sensitivity ranking of an entry in the user lexicon also applies to compounds with that entry. Thus, if, on the basis of the entry for "PI", the spelling "Pi" is corrected to "PI", the same applies to "Pi-Datei":
Pi-Datei
