Grouping
In the Data Grooming Manager, table contents (candidates, sentences, term candidates) can be grouped by selected categories.
In this way, you can e.g. see at a glance when which candidates were created.
Note:
This chapter demonstrates the grouping of candidates. You can group challenged sentences and term candidates in the same way.
Requirements:
- You are in one of the menus of the Data Grooming Manager.
- The table contains entries.
Important:
Grouping is not allowed for the following categories: Id, categories that contain dates or times, and all types of discard reasons and comments. Moreover, grouping by candidates is only possible in the Terminology menu.
Who to group table contents by category (option 1):
Right-click the table column header of the required category.
- A drop-down list will open up:

- Click Group By This Column.
- The table contents are grouped, e.g. by their language:
How to group table contents by category (option 2):
Right-click the table column header of the required category.

Click Show Group Panel.
- A panel for grouping candidates will open up.
- Drag the required table column header to the grouping field:
- The candidates are grouped, e.g. by their language:
Tip:
In the grouping field, you can also group by multiple categories. Drag additional table column headers to the grouping field.
How to hide the opened group panel:
Right-click a table column header.
- A drop-down list will open up:
- A drop-down list will open up:
- Select Hide Group Panel.
- The grouping field will be hidden.
How to clear the grouping:
Right-click a free area in the grouping field.
- A drop-down list will open up:
- A drop-down list will open up:
- Select Clear Grouping.
- The grouping will be cleared.
