The Authoring Memory Panel displays sentences that are similar to the edited text, offering them for reuse.
Note:
The display in the Authoring Memory Panel partly depends on which backend is used for the Authoring Memory.
With the Congree Authoring Memory Server as backend
- Original sentence from the edited document, for which similar sentences have been determined
- List of similar sentences in the Authoring Memory, sorted by their similarity to the original sentence. The similarity is indicated in percent at the beginning of the row.
- Marking that highlights deviations between the Authoring Memory proposals and the original sentence
- Results of the word search. The sentences found with the help of the word search are marked with a [W].
- Results of the approximate search. The sentences found with the help of the approximate search are marked with an [A].
- Filter for matching ranges button: Activate or deactivate the specified matching ranges to determine which sentences will be displayed in the Authoring Memory panel. For example, you can limit the display to 100% matches (see The Congree Matching Rates Report Panel).
Enable/disable Complete Viewbutton: In the Compact View mode, all sentences are displayed without tags. Sentences that are identical at the level abstracted from the tagging are consolidated and displayed only once. Click the Enable/disable Complete View button in order to toggle the Complete View mode.- Show/hide attributes button: Click the button to show or hide attributes for inline elements in the sentence.
With Across crossTank as backend

Note:
The display of translations can be configured in the Authoring Memory settings menu under Translation display. Count languages with available translations shows the respective icons in the Authoring Memory Panel, and Count different sublanguages makes sure that the counter considers not only languages, but also sublanguages.
Note:
If Congree is installed in a server/client environment with third-party components for the Authoring Memory, the number of languages available on the server host may be greater than on the client host. If a proposal is found in the Authoring Memory Panel in a language or sublanguage that is not available, the problem can be reviewed in the client log files.
