Configuring Server Components

Tip:

Configure the client installations before configuring your server installations. In this way, the Congree Deployment Assistant will show you a server configuration that suits the client side.
  • You have created or opened a configuration.
  • Local
  • Remote (via IP address or host name and password, if applicable)
  • You are in the Server submenu of the Configure Congree Components menu.

How to Configure Server Components

  1. Select the default host for your configuration. Alternatively, click Add host to add a new host.
  2. Enter a name for your configuration. Specify a network or IP addres and, optionally, a host description.
  3. Now you have two options:

    1. Assign all server components marked with the following icon to the desired host(s):

      If necessary, assign optional client components.
    2. Click the following button to automatically assign the needed server components to a host:

      If necessary, assign optional client components.
  4. Click the following button for components marked with a question mark icon:

    1. Windows in which you can enter the needed information will open up.
  5. Specify all needed information for the components.

  7. Optional: Add attachments and directory structures for the components. You can only add attachments and directory structures that you have received from Congree Language Technologies GmbH as CEIP file.

    1. Click the paperclip button.

      1. An input window will open up:
    2. Click Browse and select an attachment or directory structure as CEIP file.
    3. Click OK.
    4. When installing the component, the selected attachments or directory structures will also be installed. Any existing attachments or directory structures will be overwritten.
  8. The Save button displays a checkmark:

    The configured Congree installation is viable.
  9. The Save button displays an exclamation mark:

    The configured Congree installation is not yet viable.
    Modify your configuration with the help of the displayed help icons and tooltips.

Important:

The Congree Identity Server component provides the option to set up authentication using SAML or OICD. Please note that the setup should only be performed with the support of the Customer Services team. Therefore, if you want to use SAML or OICD for authentication, please contact the Customer Services team.
