The Menu for Configuring Server Components

In the Server submenu of the Configuration menu of the Deployment Assistant, you can configure the server components for a Congree installation.

Overview of the Server Submenu

  1. Back button: Go to the Deployment Assistant start menu.
  2. Client button: Go to the menu for configuring client components.
  3. Input screen Configuration name: Enter a name for your Congree configuration. The name will apply both to the client side and to the server side. If you do not enter any name, your configuration will be named Default.
  4. Input screen Description: Describe your Congree configuration (optional). The description will apply both to the client side and to the server side.
  5. Location display: The IP address or host name of your configuration host is displayed here.
  6. Drag-and-drop element Server components: Add server components to the available hosts via drag and drop.
  7. Drag-and-drop element Optional client components: Add client components to the available hosts via drag and drop (optional).
  8. Arrow button: Expand the components in order to see the respective subcomponents and add them to the available hosts via drag and drop.
  9. List of available hosts: All hosts that you can assign components are displayed here.
  10. Add host button: Add hosts to the list of available hosts.
  11. Default host: Assign components to the undeletable "Default" host. This is the host on which the Deployment Assistant service is running.
  12. Added host: Assign components to a host added by yourself.
    1. Exclamation mark: Indicates you still need to give the host a network or IP address and a name for the configuration.
    2. Input field for name: Specify a name for the configuration.
    3. Input field for network or IP address: Specify the network or IP address of a host.
    4. Input field for directory: Specify an installation directory for a host.
    5. Drag-and-drop field for components: Assign client components to the host via drag and drop.
    6. Delete button: Delete a host created by yourself.
    7. Arrow button: Opens the Details area.
    8. Details area: Enter a free text comment for the respective host or configuration.
  13. Save button: Save your server configuration. An exclamation mark indicates that the particular configuration is not yet viable.

Overview of the Drag-and-Drop Element Congree Core Server

  1. Icon that indicates that one or several of the components or a specific subcomponent must be assigned in order for the server configuration to be viable.
  2. Component group Congree Core Server: Add individual Congree Core Server subcomponents to the host via drag and drop. To assign all Congree Core Server subcomponents, move the entire drag-and-drop element Congree Core Server to the host.

Important:

All Congree Core server sub-components, except the Data Store Wrapper, must be installed on the same host.

Important:

The Job Management Server must be part of the server configuration, otherwise there may be problems with the Congree Linguistic Compiler and the TermSync feature.

Overview of the Drag-and-Drop Element Congree Database

  1. Icon that indicates that one or several of the components or a specific subcomponent must be assigned in order for the server configuration to be viable.
  2. Component group Congree Database: Add individual Congree Database subcomponents to the host via drag and drop. To assign all Congree Database subcomponents, move the entire drag-and-drop element Congree Database to the host.

Overview of the Drag-and-Drop Element Congree Bulk Check Service

  1. Component group: Move the subcomponents to the host via drag and drop to determine which components of the Congree Bulk Check Service are to be available to users. To make all subcomponents available, move the entire drag-and-drop element Congree Bulk Check Service to the host.
  2. Icon that indicates that the specific subcomponent must be configured in order for the server configuration to be viable.

Overview of the Drag-and-Drop Element Congree Authoring Client























  1. Component group Editor plug-ins: Add individual editor plug-ins to the host via drag and drop. To assign all editor plug-ins, move the entire drag-and-drop element Congree Authoring Client to the host.
  2. Component group Components: Move the Congree windows to the host via drag and drop in order to determine which Congree windows are to be available in the clients. To make all Congree windows available, move the entire drag-and-drop element Congree Authoring Client to the host.
