Hiding Notifications

Notifications can be hidden in the Language Check Panel. Hiding notifications may be useful if you do not need a particular notification in the current document or during the current session.

Note:

When you log out and back in or turn Congree off and back on, the hidden notification will reappear.

Requirements:

  • The Language Check Panel is open.
  • You have selected a notification.

How to hide an individual notification:

  1. Click the Ignore button:
    :
  2. The counter of the Show/hide ignored rules button will be increased by one hit.
  3. The notification will be hidden.
  4. The error will no longer be included in the calculation of the release level.

Note:

If you ignore notifications of the notification categories Terminology or Valid terms, notifications of the linguistically enhanced terminology check will be hidden in the Terminology Research Panel.

How to hide a notification in the entire document:

  1. Click the Ignore all button:

    1. The following view will open up. You can view all hits separately:
  2. You can do this in three ways:
  3. Click Back to leave the view.
  4. Click Ignore all.
  5. Click the Ignore button of a notification in order to ignore individual hits.
  6. The counter of the Show/hide ignored rules button will be increased by the respective number of hits.
  7. The notification will be hidden in the entire document.
  8. The errors will no longer be included in the calculation of the release level.

Note:

If you ignore notifications of the notification categories Terminology or Valid terms, notifications of the linguistically enhanced terminology check will be hidden in the Terminology Research Panel.

How to hide certain components of a notification:

If you only want to see certain components of a notification (e.g. because you do not need any explanation), you can hide the remaining components.

  1. In the panel toolbar, click the gear icon.

    1. The Notification categories and Notification description view will open up:
  2. Under Notification description, click the components of a notification that you do not want to see.

    1. The checkmarks preceding the listed components of a notification will disappear.
  3. Components without checkmarks will no longer be displayed.
