ASC Author-it®

  • The repositioning and docking of the Congree panels works in the same way as the repositioning and docking of the program's own windows.

Microsoft® Word

  • Congree for Microsoft® Word treats initials, not as components of a word, but as separate text boxes. For this reason, the Language Check can exhibit undesired behavior.
  • In Congree for Microsoft® Word, performance problems can occur when checking documents in real time, depending on the hardware and the working method. In such cases, it might be advisable to disable the document check in real time.
  • When the document check in real time is disabled, the paragraph in which the mouse pointer is located can be checked by clicking the Paragraph button.
  • In Congree for Microsoft® Word, a paragraph can be checked with a freely configurable keyboard shortcut.
  • Autoformat arrows are returned by Microsoft® Word as brackets and therefore cannot be analyzed appropriately by the language checker. In this case, when configuring the Language Check for Microsoft® Word deactivate the relevant rules, e.g. grammar rule 612de.
  • When Congree is installed, Microsoft® Word does not display any images in .doc files. The .docx format is not affected.
  • In rare cases, an error occurs when initializing the Congree menu in Microsoft® Word's ribbon bar. To correct this error, the generic congree toolbar must be used in Microsoft® Word instead of the congree menu in the ribbon bar.

    Important:

Congree Language Technologies GmbH will manage the configuration, so please contact us if required.

Adobe® FrameMaker®

In Adobe® FrameMaker®, text is automatically checked when you log in to the Congree Authoring Client.

Adobe® InDesign®

  • Congree processes inline images in Adobe® InDesign® as <inline> elements so that they can be processed correctly.
  • When applying a sentence containing variables from the Authoring Memory using the original inline elements, the inline element <variable> must be configured as "protected".
  • The repositioning and docking of the Congree panels works in the same way as the repositioning and docking of the program's own windows.

Congree Indie

  • From Congree version 028, Congree Indie is also available for checking HTML files. Limitations exist for the rtf, .doc, and .docx formats: These formats can be opened and checked in Congree Indie, but not edited.
