  2. Sentences known to Congree but not currently in focus are displayed without any proposals.

  3. This is the proposal area for the sentence currently in your focus.

Depending on the web editor, this mode might not be available or might not extend over the entire visible area. This largely depends on the editor and the possibilities it provides.

For example, this does not work in Quanos ST4.

Proposal Area

The proposal area shows all available similar sentences in your sentence database. The sentences are sorted from most similar to least similar.

The level of similarity is indicated by the number or letter shown in front of each proposal.

Similar sentences

If a sentence shows a number between 100 and 50, it is considered similar to an existing sentence in the database. The similarity is calculated by Congree with the help of the configuration within the document-specific rule set. Congree tries to show up to 10 similar sentence matches.

Similar words

If the proposal shows [W], it means that not enough similar sentence matches have been found and Congree now displays sentences that contain similar words in them. The similarity must reach at least 80%.

Approximating words

If the proposal shows [A], it means that not enough word matches could be found, and matches with a similarity starting at 50% are shown.

The words that cause a similarity deduction are highlighted in red.

Apply proposals

Regardless of the type of proposal, you can click any of them to replace the sentence you are currently writing or reviewing.

Fragments

In Quanos ST4 you might see an additional icon depicting image-20251001-135136.pngfragments. Clicking this icon will open the ST4 fragment navigator for the corresponding sentence.
