If an Authoring Memory proposal does not differ from the newly created sentence, a match level of 100% will be indicated in the Authoring Memory Panel. For every difference, a certain percentage is deducted from the 100%. A basic penalty is generated with the help of an algorithm.

Different special characters

"10%" vs. "10 %"

Special characters include all characters that are not language characters, punctuation marks, or decimal/hexadecimal digits. For example, a space is also a special character.

The position of a special character is also relevant: If a special character appears at a different position in the sentence, a penalty will be applied.

Different punctuation

"Close the window." vs. "Close the window!"

The position of a punctuation mark is also relevant: If an identical punctuation mark appears at a different position in the sentence, a penalty will be applied.

Different inline elements

"Compathy ContentGrasp <b>SX</b> Headset" vs. "Compathy <b>ContentGrasp</b> SX Headset"

Different capitalization

Example:

In this example, the sentences are identical except for an additional inline element <b>. For this, the penalty preconfigured in the Congree Control Center for inline elements will be applied.

The percentages that are deducted as penalties are predefined. The penalties can be customized in the Congree Control Center in the settings.

In the Congree Authoring Client, the penalties can be viewed in the Authoring Memory Panel. For a tooltip showing details of the penalty, move the mouse pointer over the percentages for a proposal.
