Comparison of Deployment Assistant - Deployment Assistant Lite
Starting from version 6.036, the Congree Deployment Assistant is available in two different versions: full (without any designation in the file name) and "Lite" (e.g., "Congree-Deployment-Assistant-v6.0.18476.08.20220201.036-x86-Lite.exe"). You can use the full version for any installation, while the Lite version is only for installing or manually updating Congree Authoring Clients and/or the Congree Control Center. The Lite version will fetch the necessary modules from the server, making it significantly smaller.
This allows you to determine the timing of data transfer during client installation:
With the full Congree Deployment Assistant, you transfer the entire package to the affected computers before installation. During installation, only the configuration is synchronized with the server/host, and the necessary data is retrieved from the locally stored Congree Deployment Assistant. Therefore, network load during installation is very low.
With the Congree Deployment Assistant Lite, you only copy this small package to the various clients. During installation, the data required for configuration is loaded from the server. This can temporarily lead to higher network load.
