Configuring Automatic Updates
To enable automatic updates in the future, this feature must be configured in the Congree Deployment Assistant. The client configurations need to include the Congree Update Agent module.
Follow these steps:
Start the Deployment Assistant. Select "Configuration."
In the following window, choose whether to configure the local or a remote environment (usually local, so select the first option).
Open the client configuration and add the Congree Update Agent module.
Click the pencil icon in this module and enter Congree Update Agent configuration
Enter the name or address of the configuration host in the "Configuration Host" field (1). Use the address that clients use to reach the Congree server.
In the "Proxy" field (2), you can specify a proxy server address if necessary. By default, "None" is preselected in the dropdown menu. If no proxy server is needed, leave the setting on "None." If the Congree server can only be accessed via a proxy server or script, select "Address" or "Script."
If the connection is established through a specific proxy server, select "Address" and enter the server's URL.
If the connection is established through a script to select the proxy server, select "Script" and enter the script's URL.
Enable “Check client integrity” (3) if Congree Update Agent should check for updates actively every few minutes.
Predefine how often Congree should check for an update in “Version check interval (min.)” (4).
The configuration is now complete. You can either click "Save" or modify other parts of the configuration.
After completing the configuration, install the current version as usual.
