Turning a Computer into a Configuration Host

Basically, there are two application cases for turning a computer into a configuration host:

  1. You want to configure an installation on your current host.
  2. You want to set up a configuration host in zones that are not accessible to the employees who perform the configuration.

Requirements

  • You are in the Choose task menu.

How to Turn a Computer into a Configuration Host

  1. Click Create local environment configuration:

    1. The Install Service view will open up:
  2. Click to select the directory that the Congree Deployment Assistant Service is to be installed in.
  3. Click Install.

  4. The Congree Deployment Assistant Service has been successfully installed.

    1. The following view of the Choose task menu will open up:
  5. You receive a notification that the Congree Deployment Assistant Service cannot be reached on port 80. Check if port 80 is already in use or if the connection to the default website is using the correct port.
