Important:

The Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition does not meet the performance and database size requirements of production server installations. In addition, it does not contain any tools for maintenance and backup. It can therefore only be used for test purposes with small volumes.

Important:

An SQL user must be used for Congree to communicate with the database. For this, SQL Server and Windows authentication mode must be selected as server authentication for the database management system. You can find the corresponding option in the server properties of your database management system, Security menu.

Important:

For the SQL user for Congree to interact with the Congree database, only passwords without the following characters are allowed:

Important for MS SQL on Microsoft Azure

The services corresponding to MS SQL Server in the MS Azure Cloud are “SQL Managed Instances” or “SQL Virtual Machines”.

“Azure SQL Databases” is not supported by Congree.
