When you do not use the Congree Language Check, you can use a terminology research function on the basis of Across crossTerm or SDL MultiTermoption available in third-party terminology systems.

Requirements:

  • In the Congree Control Center, the option Enable linguistically enhanced terminology checks is deactivated; see Settings Manager: Document, chapter Overview of the Language Check Area, Option 3.
  • The Terminology Research Panel is open.
  • The needed terminology notification is open.

If you select a terminology notification in the Language Check Panel, the focus will automatically shift to the relevant terminology notification in the Terminology Research Panel.

How to compare homonyms:

A homonym is a term used for several concepts. In the Terminology Research Panel, you can recognize a homonym from the fact that a notification for a term contains two or more preferred terms side by side:



  1. Click the various preferred terms.

  2. You can compare the concept and term information as well as possible synonyms by navigating between the preferred terms:
