If you have configured the Congree Update Agent in the Deployment Assistant, you will need to perform the installation manually one last time.
Use either the full Congree Deployment Assistant or the Congree Deployment Assistant Lite. The result will be the same in both cases. In the first case, the configuration is fetched from the server, and in the second case, both the configuration and the installation files are fetched.
From now on, the Congree Update Agent will run on the computer where the Congree Authoring Client or the Congree Control Center is installed. When the server is updated next, this update will be passed on to the clients.
Further Information on the Differences Between the Congree Deployment Assistant and the Congree Deployment Assistant Lite can be found on this page.
Updating via the Congree Update Agent
When an update is installed on the server, the Congree Authoring Client or the Congree Control Center will receive a signal at the next login. The user will then see a notification asking, "When do you want to update?"
If "Later" is selected, the same question will be asked at the next start of the Congree Authoring Client or Congree Control Center.
If "Now" is selected, the download of the required components will begin in the background. After closing the editor, the installation will start. The installation progress will be displayed in a program window. When prompted, click "Verify" or "Install" in this window. Click "Close" after the installation is complete.
If multiple editors with Congree are open simultaneously, the installation will only begin after all editors have been closed.
Depending on local settings, you will also be notified of the update progress in the Windows Notification Center.
This process does not require any special administrative rights.
