Overview: Installing Congree

This chapter provides a general overview of the installation of Congree.

A Congree installation comprises the following steps:

Preparation	When using the Authoring Memory or the terminology component: Set up an Across user for Congree and generate a generic softkey. Designate the configuration host	Run the Deployment Assistant on a host and set up an environment configuration. Important: The host must be available on the server side, and the Deployment Assistant must be able to connect to it during the installation. Usually the Congree application server meets these conditions and can therefore be used as configuration host.	Turning a Computer into a Configuration Host
Configuration	Set up all client configurations and specify the client host in each case. Specify all hosts on which server components are to be installed. Installing the server components	Perform the Deployment Assistant installation step on every host on which server components are to be installed. Optional for databases: Execute the previously generated SQL script on the database host.	Installing Congree Configuring the Congree Database Component
