In the Congree Toolbar, click the Settings button to open the Settings dialog. The basic settings configured in this dialog will be set as default values for the Congree Authoring Client.

The dialog is divided into seven menus:

  1. Rule set: Select a document-specific rule set as default configuration for the Congree Authoring Client.
  2. Extensions: Select the Congree modules to be used.
  3. Design: Modify the interface design of the Authoring Memory Panel.
  4. Language Check: Configure the settings for the Language Check.
  5. Authoring Memory: Configure the settings for the Authoring Memory.
  6. User interface: Set the language of the user interface of the Congree Authoring Client. In connection with the plugin for Microsoft® Word, you can configure a keyboard shortcut for checking a paragraph.
  7. Environment: Select an environment to which the Congree Authoring Client is to connect to after a restart.

Overview of the Rule Set Menu

Document-specific rule set are: Select a document-specific rule set at the default configuration for the Congree Authoring Client.

Overview of the Extensions Menu

Modules area: Determine which Congree modules you want to use or not use.

Important:

The activation/deactivation of modules will only be effective after the editor is restarted.

Note:

The Authoring Memory Candidates and Non-native authoring modules can only be selected if Authoring Memory is also selected. Language Check Report can only be selected if Language Check is also selected.

Note:

If a panel is closed, the display of results will be prevented. However, the Congree module will not be deactivated.

Overview of the Design Menu

Fonts and Colors area: Configure the background color, font type, font size, and bold type for the following areas of the Authoring Memory panel:

  • Adjusted placeholders
  • Inline elements
  • Different text
  • Different inline elements
  • Shading
  • Proposals
  • Source sentence
  • Elements

Important:

After modifying the interface of the Authoring Memory Panel, you need to restart the editor. The editor needs to be restarted in order for the changes to be applied.

Overview of the Language Check Menu

  1. Notification categories area: Determine which notification categories are to be active by default during the check.
  2. Notification description area: Determine the verbosity of the notifications displayed.
    • Keywords: Display a short notification description, usually in the form of an instruction.
    • Instructions: Display information on how the error can be eliminated.
    • Explanation: Display a general explanation of the error or the reason why the error is displayed.
  3. Notification display Determine whether disregarded or ignored notifications (see Language Check Panel) are to be displayed.

Overview of the Authoring Memory Menu

  1. Result display configuration area
    1. Display limit selection area: Determine the maximum number of similar sentences to be displayed by the Authoring Memory.
    2. Show sentence attributes option: Determine whether existing sentence attributes are to be displayed in the Authoring Memory Panel.
  2. Translation display area
    1. Count languages with available translations option: Activate this option in order to see an icon that shows the number of languages with available translations for proposals.
    2. Count different sublanguages option: Activate this option if the sublanguages are to be counted as well when counting the languages with available translations.

Important:

If you change the display limit, the current results of the Authoring Memory will be deleted.

Overview of the User Interface Menu

User interface area: Select the language of the user interface of the Congree Authoring Client. You can select English or German.

Important:

In connection with the plugin for Microsoft ® Word, the User interface menu contains the Customize keyboard area. In this area, you can configure a keyboard shortcut for checking a paragraph:

  1. Congree-Environments area: This is where you can configure and select environments that the Congree Authoring Client is to connect to after a restart.
    1. Drop-down list for environments: Select an environment you want to connect to after a restart.
