Special Features of the Paragraph Recognition for Microsoft PowerPoint

When creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, the individual slides can be designed in various ways, e.g. with tables or running text. However, the program does not offer any dedicated style templates that the author can apply to his text.

Nevertheless, the Congree Authoring Server is able to identify the markup structure of a Microsoft PowerPoint file. In this way, paragraph recognition can be set up for Congree for Microsoft PowerPoint.

Medium

If the presentation mode "Normal" is active, Congree will check the following text types:

  • Text in text fields
    • Distinction is made between
      • Text without bullet points/numbering
      • Text with bullet points
      • Text with numbering
      • Text with different list levels
  • Text in header and footer
    • without page number check
    • without date check
  • WordArt
  • SmartArt
  • Link text
    • Instead of the underlying link, the displayed text is checked.
    • Changes applied to the link text will not affect the link.
  • Text in tables

Not checked in the "Normal" mode:

  • Notes
  • Non-editable example text
  • Master Slide Text

Overview

If the presentation mode "Outline" is active, Congree will check the following text types:

  • Text in the list view of the outline
    • only this text will be checked and highlighted

Not checked:

  • All text that is not in the list

Notes

If the presentation mode "Notes" is active, Congree will check the following text types:

    • Distinction is made between
