Global Settings for Structure Information

In the Settings Manager Global menu, you can set how Congree is to handle structure information in the form of elements or attributes.

Note:

Depending on the backend used for Authoring Memory, the area is called either Authoring Memory or Settings for Across.

With the Congree Authoring Memory Server as backend for Authoring Memory

Configuring Congree classes

In paragraph recognition (see Overview of the Paragraph Recognition) elements can be assigned to different Congree classes. Thy must first be defined in the Setting Manager, Global menu, Authoring Memory - Congree Classes.

Note:

Congree classes are abstract designations of various document sections. Apart from default classes such as "List" or "Title", it is also possible to create new classes.

How to create some Congree classes:

  1. Enter the name of the Congree class you want to add in the input screen and click +:

    1. The Congree class is in the table of Congree classes.

  2. Click Save.

  3. The Congree class has been successfully created and can be used by paragraph recognition for the Congree Language Check.

How to delete or disable a Congree class:

  1. Click the x button in the Action column in the row the Congree class is in.

  2. The Congree class will be deleted.

  3. The Congree class cannot be deleted.

There are two reasons for this:

    • The Congree class was already predefined. Predefined Congree classes cannot be deleted.

    • The Congree class is already being used for paragraph recognition. In this case, it can be disabled, but not deleted.
  4. Tip:

In the Action column of disabled classes, there is a (Haken) button for enabling the Congree class.

Setting attributes

Note:

You define attributes so Congree can work with them in the Congree Authoring Memory. More specifically, this means that attributes can be added to sentences, allowing you to search, filter, or delete sentences based on the attributes. These actions are based on REST technology.

  1. In the Assignment table, click Click her to add a new row.

    1. A new row will be added to the table.

  2. Enter the attribute in Attribute.

  3. In Type, select whether the attribute is specified as text or as a drop-down list item:

  4. For attributes with drop-down menu item: Define the required attribute items. Do the following to do so:

    1. Click in the row of your attribute.

      1. The table for the drop-down list items will be enabled:

    2. Click Click her to add a new row to define a drop-down menu item.

    3. Enter the drop-down list item in Drop-down list item for [attribute name].

    4. Do the same to create a new row for each drop-down list item.

    5. Click Save.

    6. You have defined the drop-down list items your attribute can have.

To delete or disable a drop-down list item:

  1. Click the x button in the Action column in the row with the drop-down list item.

  2. The drop-down list item will be deleted.

  3. The drop-down menu item cannot be deleted.

The drop-down menu item is already in use. In this case, although it can be disabled, it cannot be deleted.

  4. Tip:

In the Action column of disabled Congree classes there is a button (Haken) to enable the drop-down list item.

With Across crossTank as backend for the Authoring Memory

To be able to work with structure information, structure attributes from Across must be mapped to Congree classes.

Note:

Congree classes are abstract designations of various document sections. Apart from default classes such as "List" or "Title", it is also possible to create new classes. On the one hand, these classes are mapped to structure attributes that exist by default in the Authoring Memory. On the other hand, the Congree classes are mapped to XML elements in the specific document.

Requirements

  • You are in the Global area in the Settings Manager of the Congree Control Center.
  • Your Authoring Memory contains sentences with structure attributes.

How to map existing Across structure attributes to Congree classes:

  1. Click a table field in the Across classes column of the Across classes table under the Across settings.

    1. A selection list of Across structure attributes will open up:
  2. Click a structure attribute in order to allocate it to a Congree class.
  3. Map all required structure attributes to one Congree class each.
  4. Click the Save button in order to save your configuration.
  5. Your configuration has been saved and can be used for the next steps (see Document-Specific Settings).
  6. If the following message is displayed:

An Across structure attribute can only be allocated to one Congree class. Set a different structure attribute.
