Transformation Rules for Special Characters in Style Templates
Style templates (e.g. styles in Word) that Congree is to check or ignore often have names that are not XML-compliant.
Important:
When configuring the paragraph recognition, you need to replace the listed characters in the style templates according to the following table. This is necessary for Congree to identify and handle them correctly.
Character | Must be converted to | Example |
---|---|---|
Space | - | title bold becomes title-bold |
: | - | title:bold becomes title-bold |
. | - | Standard no. becomes Standard-no- |
( | - | title(bold) becomes title-bold- |
) | - | title(bold) becomes title-bold- |
, | - | par,paragraph becomes par-paragraph |
Other invalid characters | _hex_value_ | title[bold] becomes title_x005B_bold_x005D_ |
Number at beginning | _number | 10_title becomes _10_title |
A special spelling convention is used for ASC Author-it®. All letters are lowercase, and the following characters are omitted:
- (
- )
- Spaces
- _
- .
Example: b_ProcedureResultsInside becomes bprocedureresultsinside.
