To synchronize terminology between your terminology database and the Congree Authoring Server, you need to configure the export and import process within the scope of a synchronization job. In the TermSync menu, you can manage an unlimited number of synchronization jobs.

Requirements:

How to configure a terminology synchronization procedure:

  1. Under Components, select the terminology database from which the export is to take place. Specify where the terminology is to be imported to.
  2. Under Data mappings, select the applicable Across crossTerm instance or SDL MultiTerm database and, optionally, the required term filter.
  3. The left column of the Attributes table lists all term attributes that exist in your style guides. In the right column, select the corresponding attributes in your terminology database:

When you click an attribute in the left column of the Attributes table, its attribute values will be displayed in the Values table. In this way, you can navigate between the values of various attributes.
    1. Once you map an attribute to the corresponding attribute, the Values table will be filled with the available attribute values.
  4. In the Values table, map the attribute values from your Style Guides to the corresponding values in the terminology database.
  5. Select which special rules should apply with no or more than one preferred term when importing terms.

    1. If no preferred term exists, choose "do not import" or use an existing admitted term as preferred term.

    2. If more than one preferred term exists, choose "do not import" or prefer a term on the basis of definable attributes.

  6. Go to Language mapping and determine the sublanguage and the Style Guides that terms are to be imported to.
  7. Under Trigger, select whether you want to execute the synchronization once or repeatedly.
  8. To save your synchronization, click Save.
  1. The synchronization job has been successfully saved.
