In the Congree Toolbar, click the Settings button to open the Settings dialog. The basic settings configured in this dialog will be set as default values for the Congree Authoring Client.

The dialog is divided into seven menus:

1. Rule set: Select a document-specific rule set as default configuration for the Congree Authoring Client.
2. Extensions: Select the Congree modules to be used.
3. Design: Modify the interface design of the Authoring Memory Panel.
4. Language Check: Configure the settings for the Language Check.
5. Authoring Memory: Configure the settings for the Authoring Memory.
6. User interface: Set the language of the user interface of the Congree Authoring Client. In connection with the plugin for Microsoft^® Word, you can configure a keyboard shortcut for checking a paragraph.
7. Environment: Select an environment to which the  is the Congree Authoring Client is to connect to after a restart.
